I believe its a '70, but not an R/T. "JH"
And what is a "legal clone project"? Sounds like a start to an "illegal" project to me. Please post the first 7 digits of the vin, that sure as heck wont hurt anything.

Yes us dollars . I will post more of vin later tonight. i ahve heard of people taking the vins off of cars & going to state And applying to revin a wrecked car. There are many of revined cars. Or if you have a time % money you could restore the car.

From what I know(very little sometimes) there was not a 340 "R/T" available in '70 only '71 on. 340's were made just not called "R/T"

Those pictures hurt.
How can anyone leave a beautiful car like a challenger sit and get to that kind of shape....sitting in a heap of junk....
I guess everything gets that way eventually though.....
Painful to see. :(

At least in 1970, there was an A66 (340 Performance Package). I owned one several years ago and wish to this day that I never sold it. It is currently owned by a friend of mine in Illinois and have the first right of refusal if he ever decides to sell it. Fingers crossed.

Some just really like to jump on things like this (and then the pack mentality kicks in).

FYI this is a 71 non-RT 340 Car. An RT would be a JS23 versus a JH23, which is a standard Challenger. In 1970 you could only get a 340 Challenger with the A66 package, which had all the RT bits, but was NOT an RT.
By the way they only made 41 of these JH cars in 1971 with a 3 speed.

Nope, sorry. I got this off of cuda-challenger.com. I believe the original source was one of Galen Govier books.
