Here are some progress pictures of my 71 Cuda project. I started this in October 2002 (after owning the car for 25 years) and plan to be back on the street in the spring of 2009. The B2 Cuda originally had a 383, auto, 8.75. It now has a bigger big block, auto and dana.

71, I am absolutely digging your B2 car and as 67 said above, it (B2) is not seen often and when it does, people think it is a mis-colored B5 car. Keep us updated on your project.

I finished polishing the stainless steel trim. The trim has been installed around the front, rear and side glass. The top of door trim was also installed. The door weatherstripping has been installed and the side glass aligned. Windshield wipers were installed and the wiper motor and mechanism tested OK.

what type of mufflers did you use ?? Are they under the trunk floor ??

The headers are 2" Hooker that I "custom fit". The exhaust system is a 3" TTI kit, with DynoMax mufflers and stainless exhaust tips. The mufflers go under the floor where the stock resonators would have been. No one makes a 3" in/out cannister muffler to go in the stock location next to the gas tank.

Here is the exhaust system described above:

DarrenM, most of the places I used are not around anymore. I had the doors, fenders, trunk lid and valances chemically stripped by a place in Winkler, but I hear they don't do that anymore. The hood was soda blasted by a place on Erin, but they won't do it anymore. They were expensive and not very good anyway. The underside and interior was blasted by a place on the TransCanada just west of the white horse and the river.

The interior is finished; recovered dash, restored wood grain steering wheel, new leather for the front buckets, original rear seat, new carpet, repop console, original door panels, a couple of aftermarket gauges.
