Why are some threads wider?

Some threads are wider than my screen. Am I just insane ( :rolleyes: ) or is it my computer??

Depends usually on the size of Pictures that are in the thread.

I wondered if that had something to do with it.

Maybe they should be 600 sized like the pic gallery??

Yeah, would be good. Problem comes when the KB size is fine but the aspect ratio is too much. Most people use 600x800 for forums.
