How does one upgrade the steering on a 72 Cuda? Front end was totally rebuilt during a resto several years ago...(15k miles) Steering feels loose compared to modern cars. I upgraded the steering box in my 67 Chevelle with a quick ratio box from a Cherokee and the improvement was amazing. Haven't found a compatible quick ratio box for an E-body, any suggestions?

You can go with the T/A steering box and pitman arm but the T/A pitman will give the stock steering box a bit of a better ratio by itself too. How much free play do you have in your steering?

I put a level3 s&g box in mine (rebuilt the original) The diff is nite and day!

Pitman/idler change will hit headers...what/who is s&g???

I had Hooker Super Comps on my 71 340 Cuda and the pitman didn't hit....it was close tho. 2 1/2 turns lock to lock.....
