The Brampton, Ontario, assembly plant will be idled next week, joining the Belvidere, Sterling Heights and Conner Avenue facilities previously announced. The Brampton plant builds the Dodge Challenger, Dodge Charger and Chrysler 300.
A Chrysler spokesman blamed the shutdown on the economy and said other closures are possible.
