Just thought it would be nice to see how many vets we have here on FEBO.
List your branch, years in, rate, and any overseas tours you had.
I was a Parachute Rigger in the Navy 99-03. Worked on MH-53E's with HM-14 in Norfolk VA. Also did 6 months in Bahrain.

USN 1968, uss hornet cvs-12, Apollo 11 and apollo 12 RECOVERY, uss Prairie destroyer tender, subic bay, phillipines, japan.....can't remember the other places :drunken_smilie: P.S. My buddy Hap Duncan was the UDT man on the cover of LIFE magazine getting the first orbitor out of the Gemini capsule.

1968/69. 243rd Assualt Support Helicopter Company. 'A' Model hooks and did some part timing on 'D' model Hueys. Total 8 years, 8 months and 8 days. Staff Sargent when I left Active Duty. 18 months in Iraq as a Department of the Army Civilian. 11 months Bosnia, again as a DAC. 6 Months in Kosovo as a DAC. 23 countries in 41 years of Combined Federal Service. To us all that have been and still are doin' the shuffle....

USMC 89-95. 0331 Machine Gunner. 1st Battalion, 7th Marines, 1st Marine Division. Served in Task Force Ripper during Operation Desert Storm and then again in Operation Restore Hope in Somalia.
Other than the birth of my 2 kids, it was the best 6 years of my life.

Ft Leonard wood MO 2yrs then to Hanau Germany 2yrs as a SGT in Combat Engineers, 12c20 & 76y. 130th Bd 559th Battl. 516 Eng/ Then 32 yrs with USPS as a Letter Carrier. There was a few Mopars over there. Born a Mopar fan & owner.. Just retired and loving it...

I was a B-52 pilot (in the AF...navy didn't have B-52's shootin off carriers or I'd have been there!) in Minot ND from 85-90. My best Mopar buddies are still up in ND.

Joined the Air force in 1980, served 5 years active and went into the reserves, then the Air National Guard till about 4 years ago only activated after 9/11 spent that time in Germany supporting enduring freedom in the old Yugo world.

Was never in the service. i'm a SWAT officer in henderson,nv right next to vegas (no Im not a dickhead cop, and never tell anyone what i do when i meet then). Anyway i have family and friends serving, and i wear their unit patches on my tac gear to show suppport to our vets. I truly appreciate all of their sacrifices.....THANK YOU
