Hi folks,
I am looking to replace my dash pad as it is shot and has a dash cap on it. I see there are several manufactures available at a host of prices. I was looking for any information available on Just Dashes, Superior Dashes or any other brand that you may have info on. I would like the best fit, appearence and originally avaialble but not looking to put a $1000 saddle on a $50 horse either. I want to maintain the original metal dash frame instead of the fiberglass repos.
The car (1970 Challenger) is a very nice driver and has new repo interior.
Also looking for an early to mid year date coded 1969 440 engine. Prefer a complete good to excellent runner but will consider all....Washington State area or close by a plus, will also need an original correct 26 inch radiator.
Thank you in advance for anyhelp.

I just bought a 71 Challenger R/T with a modified 440, automatic with a 3000 rpm stall converter, Sure Grip rear (came with a Dana 60/4.56 for a B-body-Roadrunner which was on the car and I will be looking to sell or trade it for a Dana 60 for an E-body). I am still trying to find out more about the motor as it was set-up for the track several owners back. I have a good chance of contacting the person who built the motor. For now, I am just glad to have the car and will slowly, over the years, restore it and maybe even convert it to a 4-speed. Although I have always been a Chevy guy, I always loved Challengers and I still can't believe I now own one. My soon to be 18 year old son is the envy of all his friends...

Hello All,

My name is Shawn and I live in New Hamburg, On, the home of Moparfest. I don't currently own an "E" body as of yet but it is in my plans to own one in the next 5 years or so. I have always been a fan of Cuda's, my dad had a 73 340 4-speed cuda that he had warmed over a little bit when I was growing up.

My plan is to get a 70 Cuda and make it into a pro-touring stlye car, I like to drive so I want the car to be very road worthy. My plans (for now) are to put 4 wheel disk brakes, independant rear suspension, coilover front suspension, fuel injected engine (not sure if I want a new Hemi or not), 6-speed manual transmission. I think the only exterior mods would be an AAR hood. These are my plans and I know some of you hate the idea of pro-touring one of these cars and I know some of you love the idea like me.

Anyways Just wanted to say hi and I will be reading a lot on this forum and possibly some day buying a 70 Cuda project from somebody on this forum.

I need some advise
Just installed a 68 block 426 hemi into my 72 cuda. Engine was totally rebuild from ground up and installed by a friend of mine. The engine was machined by a shop that went bankrupt while my engine was in the shop. It took almost a year to get it back and had to be put together by another shop. It starts first shot every time but vibrates like crazy at idle and when accelerated. I do not drive it for fear of damage. I have a feeling that the harmonic balancer ( vibration damper ) is incorrect. Any ideas? and how can I tell if the one on the car is the correct one in the first place. Any help would be much appreciated. The number on the damper is 1604 2.
