Not a drop in. Lot of tunnel, cross member, transmission case mods required. Here is a little info on your project. There is a lot more info available on the net. Do your research before you start cutting.

Good job Bill. I would also paint the underside of the hood white. Now is a good time to put in a couple of underhood lights. A life saver if you breakdown where there is no light. A cheap find at any bone yard. Most later model vehicles have them. Oh, and why the air shocks ?
Not when installed in a car. But the trans used in some vans were different lengths. If it truly was in a Fury, it should work. Did you actually measure the trans and mount yet or still guessing ?
You also might want to go with a pusher type electric fan. Almost all current vehicles use them. They will not draw any horsepower to operate other than a slight alternator draw. They move air all the time, not just when you are moving. They can programed to go on and off with a simple temp switch....
You may get by with a 22" ,only one way to find out , but if you are replacing it anyway I would step up .
The shroud is the most important part , it allow the fan to pull air through the whole surface & much more efficiently so even with a shroud the 22" may be enough .

A 440 + 6 auto car came standard with an 8.75 323 sure grip rear. Dana was an option for the auto. Dana was standard or actually a required option if you ordered a 4 speed with the 440 + 6. I have seen many 440 + 6 auto cars with an 8.75 that were factory original cars.
Please,please,please, unless you want a fire, Never, never ,never put a 50 amp fuse in a dash wire or any where else in the harness for that manner. The fuse must always be rated for less than the amp rating of the wire it is connected to, other wise, think about it, If the harness will melt down...
Remember, if it was in that kind of condition, it wouldn't be apart. Just because they say it is a standard bore block, doesn't mean it is. Unless you have some calipers to measure the parts and know what standard specs are, how can you tell? How about cracks in the block, web area, etc... Would be...
It won't affect the value of a 73 at all. The 70-71 are the ones that will always pull the $$. Just do it if you like it and save the old parts incase you do sell it down the road and the buyer wants to put it back to stock. It will just make it easier to resell, not necessarily more money.
