    Reverse light harness questions

MoparCarGuy - great pic, thanks! I don't have a hole in the firewall in that locaton, but a dimple is present. I have a hole that looks like about the same size about 4" directly below the throttle cable hole. It is plugged with a grommet. I wonder if there is a difference between 70 & 71...

    Reverse light harness questions

I think I located it, just below and toward the center of the car from the terminal block.

    Reverse light harness questions

It looks like the in-dash light wire plugs into the harness from the switch, and the wire has a grommet on it to pass through the firewall? Where is the location of this hole in the firewall?

    Reverse light harness questions

I don't believe I have NOX, so I'll go with the one that says without. Challenger RTA, thanks for the pix, the diagram is helpful. I'm confused about the first pic however. What connector pair is that and where do the wires go to? I thought the wires from the trans switch would plug directly...

    Reverse light harness questions

I'm in the process of having my A-833 transmission rebuilt. The car is a 71 Cuda with 383 and 4-speed. When I purchased the car a couple of years back, it was missing the back up light wire harness that connects to the switch on the trans, and also the interior one that goes to the individual...

Thank you for the info. I'm having mine rebuilt locally, hoping for good results. Mine shifted fine, just leaked from every possible place. Plus, my shifter was not great.

Fuel Gauge not working (shocker, I know...)

Any tips on tank removal / installation? I assume pull the filler neck out first? I was thinking I should order a new filler neck because mine has a dent in the tube visible in the trunk, but looking at a new one, it has that too. Weird. Also, why is there 4 vent tubes on the top of the...

Fuel Gauge not working (shocker, I know...)

Well, today I cleaned up the old sending unit a bit (not a lot), and got the float arm swinging freely. Oh, the float is about 1/4 full of gas. With the unit outside the tank, I hooked it up with jumpers to the gauge wire and a ground, set the float to the high position, and sure enough, my...

Fuel Gauge not working (shocker, I know...)

I will remove the unit and see if I can get a photo of the inside of the tank. I agree, a new one may be in order!

Fuel Gauge not working (shocker, I know...)

I love this forum! So helpful. You two inspired me, so I took a screwdriver and hammer to it and it came right off. Here is a picture of the crusty old thing, and another with it hanging upside down and the float does not ever fall by gravity of its own weight. I'm ordering a new one. I...
