    Radiator recommendations needed (in europe)

This might sound stupid of me, but at that moment I didn't even think of that. Of course, it's only the ATF part that's leaking. So I could just get a seperate oil cooler for that and leave the connectors of the integrated one blind.. That would be the most cost efficient solution I think. Plus...

    Radiator recommendations needed (in europe)

Hey everyone! So my mechanic told me my radiator is leaking transmission fluid. I seem to have a cooler with combined water and transmission fluid cooling. Now the mechanic said there was someone trying to "fix" this already but made it worse or at least made it harder to actually really...

    440-6 vacuum advance line

Hey guys. It's been a while but since the weather got a bit better and I wanted to keep you updated, here we go. I adjusted the carb with the help of a specialist, put the vacuum advance to the manifold vacuum and installed a wideband gauge to monitor everything. As of now, it starts great...

    440-6 vacuum advance line

I'm not arguing. I'm simply asking questions you don't like or can't answer. I don't want "don't do it" or "do that".. Sorry, I'm not the kind of person who just does as he is told to because someone has "experience". That is for apprentices. I want to know and understand the technical...

    440-6 vacuum advance line

I never said I didn't like anything.. I said it ran fine in idle and I only gave it a "blip" (maybe 2500rpm for a sec) because I wasn't able to drive that day.. I couldn't tell any problems with the blip

    440-6 vacuum advance line

If I tune an EFI car, I advance the ignition in cruise/low throttle for better performance and fuel economy.... I've seen both those videos before. That's why I got confused. But I have asked my questions and maybe someone who actually tested both with documentation will post here.. By the way...

    440-6 vacuum advance line

Just found this, thought it would be interesting for people stumbling over this topic. It was exactly the test I was looking for: I won't say that this or that is better. I'm certainly not in any position to do that.. But it looks to me that except cruising and idle the two are pretty...

    440-6 vacuum advance line

I didn't know what can of worms I would be opening with this topic, wow.. No reason to be offended or start attacking people, though.. Just because I am not willing to do something to my car only because someone on the internet tells me to, doesn't mean I'm not willing to learn. And just as a...

    440-6 vacuum advance line

I did read your article, and I did see this: that's what I heard and read and that's why I'm asking.. I probably can live with a bit worse idle for now until I get to swap the damaged part, if everything else works better this way... I could probably even find a way to block the vacuum off...

    440-6 vacuum advance line

I apologize if it seems that I'm trying to argue and I really appreciate your help. I really just want to understand how this works before doing anything to it.. I do not like to work on stuff I don't at least somewhat understand.. I was assuming that the difference between manifold vacuum and...

    440-6 vacuum advance line

What if I would use manifold vacuum and adjust the timing to that? If I would do that, wouldn't it be okay? Like I said, I'm new to this stuff..

    440-6 vacuum advance line

I really wish I could get ported vacuum somewhere else... I'm new to carburated cars, and taking apart the carb as the first thing I do to my "new" car seems a bit much... What a headache this early on 😅

    440-6 vacuum advance line

Ok so it seems it's not an option to use manifold vacuum then.. Is there any other place where I can get ported vacuum? If not, I'll keep it this way for now I guess.. Can I remove the metering block without taking out the whole carb? Looks close but maybe doable? Does it need to be retuned...

    Hello from germany!

Thanks for the welcome, you guys. I have a few engine pics, yes. Sadly, the car is missing the fender tag and I do not know which color it used to be originally, although I think it was Vitamin C because I can see some orange in some places.. Is there a way to actually find out the original...

    440-6 vacuum advance line

So these are manifold vacuum and the advance port is ported vacuum? Would that be a big issue? I have read and heard people are decvided of which is better.. I really just want to have a little bit better fuel consumption at cruising. It seems way too thirsty even for that big of an engine..
