1973 'Cuda 340 - Upgrade

Has anyone done an upgrade to their factory original 340 without replacing the low compression factory pistons?

I am interested in finding out what kind of additional horsepower one could expect if they installed an (example) Edelbrock top end kit (Intake/Cam/Heads) and headers, or purchased heads with bigger valves and did nothing else.

You can upgrade your engine without changing the pistons. Here is a simple upgrade on a low compression 360. The Edelbrock top end kit would give even better results.

Whiplash cams were designed specifically for low compression engines.

Or you can just go with a Turbo or Supercharger. Perfect to wake up a low compression motor.

Slightly smaller cc than the Eddys. Also Iron heads, heavier, but dissipates less heat than aluminum.
