    Oil Leak

There are 3 possibiities , could be the oil pan , the rear main which can be replaced in the car or the oil sender by the dist leaking . 318/ 904 is the normal configuration , the 904 will work with the 340 for a while at least , the 904 is not a weak trans & can be used in racing behind...

Winter project planning - Stock-ish 440, looking at Trick Flow 240s and a cam.

Make sure you use Cometic head gaskets , you can tailor the thickness when you order . I agree with the VooDoo cams , they work extremely well . You should have TRW / Speed Pro forged pistons in there , hopefully the 6 Pack 10+ compression .

    z-bar and mounting trouble

I would definately replace the frame mount , there is a small notch to position it properly , you could just drill 2 small holes for the positioning clip easily

Question about RIGHT blinker light - 71 Cuda

The housings front & rear ground through the body , if the ground is not good it can go through the light , so I would make sure the light housing is grounded properly or add a good ground to the housing / body

Problems with a missing car key.

Not true in E bodies , The door & ign use 5 pin tumblers in both the door & ign locks + the ign lock has a code stamped onto the body to create a new key without disassembling the lock Cars in the later years into the 80s do drop 1 tumbler in the door cylinder but these typically have 10...

Old is new again; 13 yr Chall Project

Sorry for your loss . Cool that you are picking up the project again ! I would pass on the 4 link , unless it is a fully adjustable race system it will not create much traction , Leaf springs are far better than most people give them credit for .
