Gas gauge not working after tank swap

Hi all, I need some advice. I bought an all original 74 Challenger Rally. The gas gauge was working. I noticed that the corner of the tank was sleeping, so I bought a new gas tank, and took it to a garage to have it installed. I had read that the new sending units are not very accurate, so I...

Need help to troubleshoot gas sending unit

Getting my 74 Challenger ready for the season. Gas gauge does not work. Previous owner said the gauge worked until he had the gas tank replaced. Original sending unit was used with the new tank, so I feel it has to be some type of wiring/grounding issue. The car currently has almost a full...

What would you offer for a Cuda AAR project?

I am going to go look at an AAR that has been garaged since 1979. Guy says its not in bad shape. All original and numbers matching. He says he wants around $25k. I've always wanted an AAR and can't afford a restored one, so I figure a project is the only way to go. Payment plan, so to speak -...

Can you deal on new cars any more?

My daughter is out of college and wants to buy hew first new car (a GMC Terrain SUV). We went to two dealers, one in the small town where we live, and the other in Pittsburgh. The car she is looking at is around $40k and she has no trade, so it would be a straight deal. Both dealers told us the...
