I've been away for some time but have recently gotten back into things. I finally got the Challenger in for paint after stripping her down and installing the new trunk floor and rear quarter patch. Looking good in her new Hemi Orange.

Beware of the residue from the soda. It must be neutralized with water and completely removed from all crevices before a successful paint job can be had. Some of the experts can explain why.
I agree with Leo. The shells leave a residue that inhibits rust for a while. I use a fine Black Diamond material a lot. Pick it up at Tractor Supply for about $8 for 50 pound bag. Be sure not to get the course b/c it really pits the metal. I will also say to avoid using the cheap eBay metal...
