I am thinking of replacing my fuel tank in my 71 barracuda. It has 4 vent tubes on right side. I see a holley tank but it looks like there is only 1 vent tube on right side but says it is a stock replacement tank. I called their tech support but he couldn't answer why there was only 1 vent...
Hey MoparCarGuy, I don't recall having those small retainer rings on my pins? Though I didn't look when I took off the old one. I wonder if the new emblems come with those retainers.
After more research, it looks like the adhesive backing piece attaches to the black plastic piece with the pins in the back. Therefore there is really only 1 to mount to the dash pad, with the pins. Does it just push through and the material of the pad hold it on?
Classic Industries has a tach you can put in your non rallye dash. https://www.classicindustries.com/product/all-years/dodge/challenger/parts/me1316.html
Hello, I am putting in a new dash pad and need to install a new "Barracuda" dash emblem, 71 style. I see there are 2 types, 1 adhesive backing and another with plastic pins. My original is the pin style but there wasn't any "backers" on the pins to keep in installed. The adhesive style seems...
OK, I removed 2 tabs and 1 case "extension" per side.... here is before and after pics.. I didnt remove the left side tab that is closest to the torque converter, waiting to see if that is in the way, along with the threaded tabs that stick out above the cooler lines.
For those of you that have installed the 8 speeds, did you grind off all the tabs on the sides to allow it to fit better? Grind all the way to the case? I am trying not to cut my car up to get it to fit so I would like to move as many or all tabs. Are there any that should not be removed?
I am seeing if anyone has lowered their small block engine using stock K frame, stock style engine mounts, and stock suspension/steering, etc... Is it possible to get the engine a little lower, maybe an inch or so,maybe even move it forward slightly too. I an toying with the idea of using a...
Just looking for pics of a cuda, preferably a 71, with champ 500 rims on it. I always liked them and my friend in another state has a set. Curious to see what they would look like.
You have all the good stuff ragtop! I just bought a trim ring from Rick, I am going to order a hood from Josh's Muscle Car Parts, as long as he can get it to Carlisle. Price is good, able to pick up, can't complain about that. If I was building a real N96 car and was near you, I would be at...
Wow, looks nice! I just ordered a trim ring from Rick, he had some on discount that need some pits filled in. I am thinking of buying the Goodmark/Tamraz hood, I think I can get it for under 500. Then I just will need the gasket from Detroit muscle.
Thanks Thomas, I'll keep you in mind...
Thanks for the info, everyone. For the time being, I have decided that I will probably go with a Goodmark / Tamraz brand hood. I see them listed as low as 422. I would need the trim ring and could be all done for less than 650. I would like to see the underside of one of those hoods though...
