    Hotchkis torsion bars?

My apologies, I stand corrected. I swear, when I posted that it said available. Now we have a "steel shortage"???? WTH? Multiple manufacturers "out of stock", that sucks.........

    Hotchkis torsion bars?

I went with Sway-Away 1.08's, I'm very happy with them. For my money Hotchkiss parts are stupid expensive. "You can buy better, but you can't spend more." Sway-Away shows multiple sizes "in stock", Firm Feel is another good source. But, if you're set on Hotchkiss, you're set on Hotchkiss...

    500hp+ 440 build tips

Thanks, they are T.A.R.E wheels T.A.R.E USA I had them powder coated in gunmetal gray. I also ordered R/T center cap emblems from, Online shop 3D wheel center caps They will make them any diameter you need, fairly inexpensive too.

Oil Pan Hitting Steering Center Link

I just finished installing a 31580 on my '71. A bit of a "pain" because Milodon is full of sh** when it comes to windage trays, and fit. It's a nice pan, but they don't have a tray that actually works with it and the pick-up, "out of the box". Modded 440Source tray on the left. Milodon said...

Trick Flow Hyd.Roller Users Step In! Noise/Rpm??

I have TF240's on a 440, solid lifter cam, and 1.6 rockers. I had a somewhat similar problem when I put it together, it just didn't seem to want to pull "cleanly" past 6000rpm. I did some checking, and found that the TrickFlow SFT springs are supplied by PAC. A quick phone call to PAC revealed...

    solid lifter question

    500hp+ 440 build tips

https://youtube.com/@rjm6663 The one where I give my buddy's brother a ride, is just squeezing the throttle from a roll, no clutching it. With T/A's (even 295's) it was like driving on ice. Easy to spin them up in first and second just by punching it.

    500hp+ 440 build tips

Other than crummy KB pistons +.030, yes, just a 440. It's pretty quiet valvetrain wise, the Comp 268 hydraulic was a lot noisier going down the road. But that's kind of normal for that cam. I run the valve clearance at .016 hot, pretty much only hear the lifters with the hood open, and listening...

9.8:1, TF240's, Ultradyne profile SFT 243/247 .586/.594 108lsa, 1.6's (with 305 DR's and 3.54's, punching it at 2400 squeal's the tires through 1st). And I neither confirm nor deny that there's a very disappointed 2024 Mustang "Dark Horse" edition (500hp) owner in my neighborhood.

Borgenson power steering conversion. Who has it?

After installing the Bergman kit, and running it a while (plus my other suspension upgrades), I ordered Peter's pump shim kit. With the original pump pressure, it felt somewhat over boosted. Peter's kit isn't expensive, and is any easy install. I set mine up with 4 shims, lowering the...

Borgenson power steering conversion. Who has it?

I just did mine about a month ago, (along with a complete suspension upgrade), I used Bergman's kit. It was really an easy swap, with excellent results. I would say that, too me, it feels like it's too much "boost". From perusing the web, other's have felt the same. But, there's a relatively...

    Recomendations on which 4 link

To the OP (FIchallenger), I'm currently running the same suspension as you, and considering a 4 link for the same reasons. For me, QA-1 will be the choice. RMS Street Lynx doesn't allow tailpipes with a Dana 60. QA-1 does have room (barely) for up to 3".

First post - 1973/1970 AAR clone with a 440 BB - looking for tire/wheel size advise

Nice car, welcome, Unfortunately, no, wheels with those offsets won't work on your car. Here's a link to a offset/backspace converter. IIRC, on the front, 4.5" backspacing is about the most you can go before the inside starts scuffing the fender innards at full lock. Rear, with stock leaf...

70 cuda front end offset to drivers side?

These cars were built with tolerances in fractions of an inch, not thousandths. Offset is not uncommon at all. If you think about it, 1" total error is only 1/2" actual offset. My no accident '71, has 3/4" gap difference, side to side, front and rear. I've measured/checked enough other cars to...

Anyone have leaf spring relocation kit and a factory rear sway bar?

I have a not yet installed relocation kit, and a car with a factory rear sway bar. Where is there interference? When I was scoping it out, there seemed to be room to make it work. Thanks for any information you can add. 👍

    Engine air fuel issues

Good that you're looking at your vacuum a bit. AFR alone, at idle, can be tricky and misleading. When watching AFR though, don't drive yourself crazy worrying about fluctuations/subtle shifts in mixture readings as the engine operates. As CP mentioned, the engine is just using fuel more...
