"Been suggested the cam may not be letting me draw adequate vacuum". That will make your brake pedal feel very hard and the brakes will not work properly if you do not have enough vacuum. And you said the brakes work fine, so this is not your problem.

I know this is an old thread, but use Mopar factory 1973 Cuda pin style disc brake setup and you can still use 14 inch rims. You will need the spindles,calipers, caliper brackets, bearings, rotors and hoses. Check out The RamMan for parts, he also has good videos on this subject too.

no banjo bolt is used with this setup, the brake hose just screws in the 73 Cuda caliper.

do you need to use a copper washer between the screw in brake hose and the disc caliper or can you just screw in the brake hose. Thanks
