    Default Steering Wheel Issues

    Hey Everybody.....New to this site, looking for help.
    Does anyone know the thread size on the steering wheel shaft on a 1970 Challenger? I am replacing every last piece of wiring in this car and I am down to Column. In removing wheel I noticed that the threads are torn up and need to be "Chased". Any idea on the size and pitch. The retaining nut is 7/8"

    I don't even have a shaft here I can check 1/2 fine makes sense but it is probably bigger like 9/16 or other obscure thread !!
