70 challenger transmission crossmember interchange
I need a transmission crossmember for my 70 challenger 383/auto. Are small block & big block the same? How about sticks & automatics? Are there other year/model mopars that have the same crossmember? Thanks this is a great website.

Not sure if this will help you, but I just dumped a 440 and 4-speed in where a 318 and 904 Auto was. Used the Same crossmember and mount for the trans so I'd say SB and BB are the same.

70, 71 and 72 will fit but there are some differences mostly cosmetic between the 70-71 and 72. 73 or 74 will not fit a 70

yes any crossmember will fit all engine & trans combos But as stated above the spacing & position changes , 70 being unique as always LOL
