I've never seen a rubber bumper car in FK5 before. Matt's gonna love this one.

Love the color combo! I didn't know the bumpers were available in FK5 either. I hope somebody does something with it as it sure would be a stunner all fixed up!

I am the "lucky" new owner of this cuda and am excited about the chance to build such a cool car. I am in the process of getting parts together for the project. It's going to need a lot of metal replaced mostly in the bottom and around the front and back glass. The good thing is that with the exception of two carbs and the bottom of the shaker it is complete and numbers matching. Another cool thing about it is that I was able to speak to the original owner and he confirmed that the mileage is correct at 48315 miles. He stated that he could not afford to drive it very much in the early 70s because of the gas prices. He also said that when he did drive it he never had anyone pass him unless he wanted them to. He also told me the account of ordering the car just like he wanted it. The car took 7 or 8 months to get because it was shipped around to different dealerships to be parked in their showrooms. He said that he would call about his car and it would be in a different dealership, and when he finally got the car it didn't have the vinyl top on it. He made the dealer put one on and it lasted about 3 or 4 years before it came off. I will hopefully be starting the build in 6 or 8 months when I finish my boss 302 mustang. I will post pictures of the progress of the cuda as I go along. I know the post is long, but I wanted to try to give all the story at once. Thanks, Gary

Congrats on your Cuda and thanks for saving another E-body. Do you do your own metal work? You must have a 430 John Deere. I love those old tractors.

Thanks guys, yes I do all of my own work except the interior, just can't get the hang of making the seats look right. I own a collision repair shop in northeast Ga. I do have a few John Deere and Farmall tractors. I like the craftsmanship of the older car and machinery. I will keep updates coming when I get started.
