hood insulation???

Would my 70 cuda 440 6 pack have come from the factory with insulation under the hood??It is wearing on my 6 pack air cleaner and looks terrible. Any pic"s of original would be helpful.

Hello, I've owned my 70 6pack Cuda since October 1972 and knew the Cuda since it was new.( My Uncle bought it). Yes it had insulation, I probably have pictures somewhere I'll try to dig them up. I remember after 5-6 years the insulation sagging on to the aircleaner and rubbing the paint off. It seems as it ages it sags in the middle, and there is not much clearance. Ken
