Looking for the driver side, quarter glass vertical chrome. I just need the chrome trim, but would be interested in complete quarter glass if you have that. Want a pretty nice quality piece. Let me know if anyone has one. For a 1970 Challenger R/T hard top. Shipping to 46016 (Anderson, IN) Thanks

The 1970-only quarter glass trim piece is not easy to find and no one reproduces it. I needed one as well and it seemed all I could find were the '71-'74 style. Rifled through many stacks of glass at Carlisle one year until I finally found a decent one...

These are 2 pair of the best ones I have. Keep in mind that they are originals and are used but I would still consider them to be in nice driver condition. It appears as though there are two matched pairs here but if I had to pick the best right and the best left they would be one from each car. These are $50 apiece plus shipping and for others who are looking in on this thread I have several sets of tinted for challenger as well. Let me know if you see something you like.

What was the difference between the 70 only and the 71 on rear quarter glass?
Also, I know that the rear quarter glass was different for convertibles vs hardtops/
Was the quarter glass for Challenger convertibles the same for 70 and 71?
Just curious!!

I can’t imagine why the quarter glass would be different between 1970 and 1971 for the Challenger. I have some convertible quarter glass as well.

It's not the glass that's different, it is the trim piece that is 1970 only. Sounds like the OP is looking for the trim piece which is different than the '71-'74.

paharamia, How come you removed the diagrams? Was good information...
Matt, I'll take a right and left side if you say they are in good shape. I do need for a 70 Challenger. Let me know total $$ shipped to 46016. Sent me a PM

I’ll get a shipping quote for you but shall we find out what this difference that @Grady Cain is referencing?

First let's revisit the OP's post:
Looking for the driver side, quarter glass vertical chrome. I just need the chrome trim

Then my post #4 where I wrote, "The 1970-only quarter glass trim piece is not easy to find..." I don't recall ever saying that the glass was different.

And then my follow up post #8 to Matt's post #7 where I replied, "It's not the glass that's different, it is the trim piece that is 1970 only. Sounds like the OP is looking for the trim piece which is different than the '71-'74."

This should make everything crystal clear :D

On the contrary, I would appreciate knowing what the difference is in the trim. The OP is interested in buying a pair of assemblies that I have that we are just calling glass out of sheer laziness probably. :poke:

1970

The 1970 has a thicker chrome detail on the inside and the weatherstrip is a different shape as well. The 1970 only weatherstrip is readily available through the aftermarket.

Many thanks to DetMatt1. I bought 2 of his quarter glass. Super fast shipping, well packaged and in excellent shape. Both are very nice. Can't thank him enough!
