The guy selling this 1973 ‘Cuda wanted $12,000 but I was too late. Numbers matching with 340. Normal rust. Fender tag and build sheet included. Good deal or not?

if you could do all the work yourself its worth 12k
holes under the vinyl top is a big problem.

I’d say 12k is a fair price but I would’ve tried for less. We all know there’s a trail of rust from the hole under the rear window to that wheel lip and it doesn’t stop there. There are a lot of parts involved but it does have a lot going for it too.

I don't know if it's a good deal or not, but I have a separate question.
Are those wheels worth anything.

If you're good at body work, you might get your money back, but I'm not so I'd walk away if it were me

I paid a little more for a car in a little worse shape. I would have jumped on it. Rally dash is a nice +. There haven't been anything but complete rust buckets around here for less than $15k for the last few years I've been watching. Might have missed a couple.

Seemed like a fair deal for a BS car!
Not much around any more for $12K that is intact and decent.
Rust is always an issue for all of our cars. It would have cost you more then the car was worth to fully restore it; but that is true for many of us!

A fair price for a '73 340. Looks to be about 2+ on a scale 1-5. Obviously if it was 70-71? Extraordinary deal. JMO.

If car runs and drives decent? And it looks to be a 4-speed? I wouldn't be scared paying $12k. A whole lot better to begin if car can move under own power. And nothing is "All froze up." Obviously dismantles a whole lot easier for any level restoration.

I have never paid that much for any old musclecar, project or not. these days I would say that was a good buy for that even needing some metal work. E Bodies are stupid money.

Here’s another one for $20,000, looks like it’s solid.

Yes they are. I blame cable TV? Once those big auction shows starting playing regularly? We all started lapping it up?
