Installed a Black Bandit Electric Vac Pump (BBEVP) on my 1970 Barracuda w/318. The mild cam in the car was not making enough vacuum therefore, I chose to install the BBEVP. The BBEVP works well, I.e. it starts and has allot of suction. However...

1) When the car is idling, the brake pedal is spongy. It was not like this before. I am going to put a hose clap on the Vac line that is attached to the Brake Booster, so I am hoping this might correct the problem.

2) I attempted to plug the intake vac line and it caused the car to stumble and backfire. I removed said plug and reattached the 90 vac nipple. The cars starts up and runs at 1500rpm. Not sure what to do with this vac port on the fuel intake. Thoughts?

Thank you in advance.
