Contact seller
ISO/WTB: a 1970 AAR 4 spd. project car that I can purchase now and eventually restore. I'd like it to be a car that's numbers matching across-the-board, ideally with documents, if possible.

These are the colors in order of preference:

FJ5 (Lime Light)

TX9 (Black Velvet)

EB5 (Blue Fire Metallic)

FE5 (Rallye Red)

FC7 (In-Violet Metallic)

Please contact me directly, via PM; NOT PUBLICLY. I've already missed out on a few projects cars by being 2nd in line and I'm slowly losing faith that I will ever find my one dream e-body MoPar

. Thank you in advance!

Thanks so much for your message. I did see this post last week. Turns out the car is an automatic and not too many details as to to it's completeness, since it's in parts.

Just to give you some perspective on what AAR's sell for at auction (private sales are often less)
I periodically like to run the numbers on actual auction sales for ebody Mopars
A recent sale for an AAR needing extensive restoration went for 36.6K at auction

Decent projects seem to be selling in this price range
Many of the "restored" auction cars sold in the 60-80k range with the 6 figure cars having high options or super low miles.

Just from my research; please glean your own opinion from the data.

- 70 AAR 340-4sp, Y1 yellow, 2013 resto, PB 2013 72.5K

Thought this could be valuable to you as you assess what to pay for your AAR Project.
Low end prices seem to be in the 60K plus
Project cars, probably mid 30's
Real project cars needing a ton of work; lower.
4 speeds will add some price value.
Good luck with the search.

Thank you so much for the information. It does confirm what I was anticipating paying for a project car. If my search continues without any success, I may need to save up for a completed car instead. I know it’s cheaper in the long run, but having that amount of cash upfront is difficult too.

Found this on Classic Cars; an auction site
First time coming across this.
Car is an AAR 4sp, Body done but missing parts and needs to be put together. Might be in your price range?
I think you have to register or must make an offer to owner.

This one has to get saved, now! and the owner knows it too, or at least he had better.
Depending on the seller's expectations, it may be a good deal for someone experienced.

That's same Cuda that @1970AARCanada has in his avatar.
