Rt hood vents

Has anyone here made there RT hood vents functional
Thinking of buying an extra hood to play around with

Functional like letting air into the engine compartment ? Simple. Or directing air right to the carb intake, much more complicated.

Not directing air
Just letting more air in and letting heat out faster upon shut down

remove the plates in the front & they are functional , there is even a curved part behind the opening to take rain / water into the frame of the hood so it drains away from the engine

I will remove the plates and the hood insulation
