Has anyone swapped out the steering coupler for one of the borgeson u joints. Will this work on a non borgeson pw steering box?

We manufacture universal joints with the correct spline for a factory Mopar power box, to eliminate the factory coupler you would need to remove the cross pin at the end of the 3/4" steering column shaft, you would then need to weld the universal joint to the shaft. The part # for a 5/8-36 Mopar spline to 3/4" smooth universal joint is #012164. Do keep in mind that you are eliminating the plunge function of the factory coupler that does absorb some flex between the body and K-member. You could also use one of our vibration reducing universal joints which can absorb some flex but we do not offer this in a smooth bore configuration for the stock power boxes, you would need to machine or grind the stock shaft in to a 3/4" DD profile and then you could use our part #0349251 vibration reducing universal joint.
