Hi everyone. I got a 73 cuda with a 440 and the milodon 6qt hemi pan 30760 I believe. I tried 3 different milodon 18660 pickup tube and they just wont thread in. So I would like suggestions I tried a die but can't get it lower because of the lip on the tube. Also this seems to work but the threads are toast and I can't I'd it. Notice how it goes to the right. Thg he melling 63-s3 the head goes straight and this one turns right. Please help

I believe it is a pipe thread.. perhaps you can cut off the buggered end and re-thread it. I do not know if the angled pick up head works for your application.

The Milodon 30760 is a 4 qt pan, 30761 is the 6 qt.
The oil pickup tube for a 440 is 3/8" NPT.

They come in 1/2" NPT and 3/8" NPT for the stock six quart. I have a MP straight tube 1/2" NPT for a 6 qt. I believe the stock pickup should touch the bucket bottom of a stock pan.
I'd try to taper the tube tip on a belt sander and then work the die again.

This is what I have. Came out of 440’s
They are factory parts. No numbers on either pick up. Threads are fine.

Hi
Is the one on the right does the tube come out straight or does it turn to the right like the one above with the microwave on the background?
