I love these cars, for their rarity, never see another one at a car show (or elsewhere for that matter), and especially the ones that are stock & original.
We have had this blue 71 vert for 13 years, stock 340, factory AM/FM, original interior, PS, PB & PT. Build sheet, fender tag, stock, and the story on the original owners I purchased from.
The 70 we purchased recently, restored 26 years ago, numbers matching RT, AM/FM, PS, PB, PT, PW and factory AC. 100% stock. This one came with a large folder of documentation including pics of the restoration and the story about the 2nd owner who did the restoration.

Beautiful cars gents! Here’s mine from a show 2 days ago.
Long story about some mods that were done to it in the distant past but it still retains its original 383 and automatic trans.

Curious about the '71. Did the rally hood have the DODGE lettering in '71? Did a rally hood car have fender turn signals? I've always wondered about fender turn signals on a rally hood car. For some reason, it just doesn't look right to me. I'm aware the R/T was not available on a 'vert in '71, but was the rally hood optional?

Mine was originally a flat hood car but I’m sure it could’ve been ordered and I have no fender mounted signals on my fender tag. At some point mine was painted red, the T/A spoiler, ralley hood and I think even a set of ‘70 taillights were added. My hood is an early non crumple zone unit.
It was then changed to how you see it now with the correct taillights sometime before the early ‘90s. It is a EL5 car and originally had the stripes.

The original owners added that...but the fender turn signals work perfectly :)

Two beautiful Challenger convertibles! Thanks for posting. I've always loved these cars. I had a '71 Cuda 340 automatic convertible that was my everyday car from 1981 through 1987 but sold it in 1991. I now have a factory stock 1970 R/T 383 four-speed convert, the options match the codes on the fender tag. Here it is:

Personally, I think the Challenger convertibles look nicer than the Cuda converts. Just my personal flavor. The Cuda's always seem to pull more money.

The picture that I posted above of my A66 vert attending the 1982 Hemi-Owners Assn. meet; I cruised to the Massachusetts meet with a friend who had picked up a 70 Cuda 340 convertible with a great back in the day story. We had found the Cuda in a for sale ad in New Jersey and we went to look at it, parked in a dark and industrial area. The roof was in tatters, the tires were barely holding air and the car ran rough. There was another person that had arrived to look at the car at the same time we went to look. My friend immediately offered the asking price of $500. and bought the car. In the ensuing months he reworked the engine, (cam and lifters), new top, new leather interior, new body work and paint, and afterwards attended the meet. The car was a 4 speed with a rallye dash and rubber bumpers. The car had the dual mufflers with the turned down exhaust so the pan was replaced with the non cutout panel. Anyway, I miss the days of picking up cars at that price point. It was only 12 years old when we picked it up. Below is the only pic of that Cuda I have at the meet next to my A66!
