A833 gearing too low

Anyone know what was done to my A833? I have a 3.55 8 3/4 rear end that I have been in to confirm and I am turning 3400 RPM @ 55MPH in 4th gear. I have 27in tires. Final drive of 1:1 should be about 2400RPM. So I figure I have about a 1.4 to 1 final drive. 1st thru 3rd gears are all low too. I have heard of over drive gearing, but under drive? Did someone change the gears so it would scream thru the quarter? Any advise?

all manual transmissions are 1 to 1 in their top gear.
Is your clutch slipping?

Yes by my calculations you should be doing around 55 @ 2400 in 4th gear.

Only two things I can think of. Either your tack is off or your speedo is, or both but not likely.

May have to change the spedo gear.
