73 340 cuda exhaust manifold gaskets

What type of gaskets should I use with the original exhaust manifolds for my 340 cuda ?

They didn't use gaskets when new. If the manifold and head machined surfaces are true, they don't need one. They used a sheetmetal heat shield on the drivers side. They reproduce those now if you want to stay original. Otherwise make sure to use studs on the outer manifold holes, and use liquid thread sealer.

I think the 73 had different manifolds and did not require the heat shield.
