Does my belt setup look correct? Should I run a second belt in the same configuration as the one already on the compressor? Thanks much for the advice.
My friend was able to reach over the top of the steering column behind the dash from the far side and hold it in place while putting the nut on from the outside.
I recently had cooling problems with my 383. Turns out my radiator cap crapped out. Replaced it with a 16#. Fan clutch also crapped out so replaced that too. Also, replaced my 180 thermostat with a 195. Running cool for now. Summer will be the true test. This is the way my belts are installed...
Fixed the ground and put in some ice blue LEDs and it looks fantastic. The wire on the light on the right was too short to allow me to insert the bulb back in the tube. That's probably why it had a shorter 1445 incandescent bulb in it. Just ordered some shorter LED bulbs. Thanks for all the tips.
Thought of this at first, then ordered what they call ice blue because I was afraid clear might be annoyingly bright. Now, I'm thinking like you. I'll see how the blue works out. They're actually described as ice blue and look lighter than the regular blue so maybe it will look ok.
Thank you moparcarguy, challenger rta, ew1bh27, hemicap, adam and marks ebody! It is very clear to me now. Fantastic links, photos, diagrams and info. Even the fact that Challenger light bars were curved is interesting.
Thanks all. I will check the ground. Also ordered some blue LED bulbs. It was only like $10 for 20 of them on Amazon. I figure if only half of them actually work, I'm still ahead. After ordering them I realized the light bar windows are green. Green and blue makes purple haha. Yes, I have the...
Ok. I thought the non-rallye cluster only had 3 lights and all 3 of mine are pushed into their respective holes. The one with the blue cover looks like it is facing outward and at an angle. I'm totally confused now.
Hi. Got a 70 Challenger. I can't see my speedo/gauges at night. The 3 lights work, but are very dim. They dimmer switch is all the way up. I can dim them to completely off with the switch, so does that mean the switch is OK? The bulbs are #1893 incandescent. Is there some kind of reflector...
Hmmm... what about a 70 SE? Did it have the fader switch? I'll look at the steering column as you suggested and also see how the wood grain cover is mounted. And I thought this would be easy peasy haha. Thanks!
Thanks. I've never dropped a steering column before. Sounds like a lot of work just to put that switch in. It's not even going to be functional. It's just for looks. My AM radio isn't functional either. I'm running a Kenwood Bluetooth amp to listen to tunes from my phone.
Hi. I have a 70 Challenger S/E that I'm trying to install the speaker fader switch. The mounting hole is located on the trim above the radio just under the instrument cluster. Can someone tell me how to remove that trim or gain access to that spot? What's the easiest way to do this? Thanks a...
Does this apply to a 70 Challenger? The rear of my hood is up a little after I close it. I just push down on the rear corners and it falls in place. Are the hinges worn out or just in need of adjustment as described above. Thanks for your help.
New Member and my first Mopar. I have a 70 Challenger and was wondering what are the large cutouts in both inner fenders that are located down low and near the firewall for? Also, what are the one's adjacent to the alternator and under the battery tray for? They are sealed with a rubber or...
Nice! I got to give you credit for being able to find and ship a car, build and resource parts all the way in Norway. It's hard enough to do here in the US.
Hi, name's Don. I got a 70 Challenger R/T S/E. It's a money pit, but it's getting there. I'll be glad when I'm finished to my liking because these cars are never ever truely finished, are they? My car was a retirement gift to myself and also my first Mopar. I am thankful for these forums because...
