    Pentastar type and location

Can anyone provide a definitive answer for the location dimensions and color (gold or silver) of a pentastar on an e-body fender. I installed an OEM fender on a '70 Challenger - no mounting holes for the pentastar. (The original fender was rusted out so I bought a replacement from Chrysler...

6 way adjustable seat track restoration

The seat tracks in my 1970 Challenger T/A were very stiff. I am having the seats re-upholstered, so I figured it was a good time to restore the seat tracks. I disassembled the 6 way seat track and found one of the zinc guides had a flange broken off. I did a search of the interweb, and did...

Dual Point Distributor Vacuum Advance Spring

The previous owner of my T/A brazed the distributor vacuum advance arm in place (Pictures attached). I replaced the vacuum advance unit with a similar unit. We dyno'ed the engine after rebuild, the tech at the dyno shop thought there should be a spring in the vacuum advance unit. Checked the...

    carpet supports

The old carpet out of my Challenger has these plastic "carpet supports" glued to the carpet. They cover the seat belt anchor points on the outside of the front seats. I have attached pics of the one on the passenger side. The parts are very brittle, seeing as how they are 50 years old. I did...

    Antenna wire routing

Not sure if this should go in electrical or interior - but - does anyone have routing description or routing pics for the antenna wire on a 1970 Challenger T/A? My antenna wire has a plug on it like it goes thru some sheet metal, has a clip on it and has tape on it. I took it out some time...

    Hold down tape

Anybody have a source for the tape used to hold the console wire and the antenna wire on a T/A in place? Its a 2" wide fabric(?) tape. I could use the handyman's secret weapon, but I think duct tape is a bit too redneck-ish. And I want to keep the T/A as close to original as possible.

Front hose routing with disc brakes

Putting the disc brakes back on my Challenger and the routing of the hoses doesn't seem right. Unfortunately, I didn't get a picture before I took them apart. It seems like the rubber hose has to make a very sharp bend on the end that attaches to the caliper. Does anyone have a pic of the...

    Exhaust hanger bracket

I went to hang the exhaust on my T/A today, and found that the bracket that is spot welded to the body to bolt the exhaust hanger to is missing. It actually looks like someone drilled the spot welds to take it off. Anyone know where a person might obtain one of these? Checked AMD and didn't...

What is the correct finish for the air cleaner base on a Challenger T/A. It's black, obviously, but wondering if it is gloss or semi-gloss. Ready to paint and wondering what is correct. Thanks for any help!!

    T/A hood questions

On the underside of my T/A hood, in the scoop area, it looks like there used to be a decal (See picture attached). Was there a decal, and if so, is there a vendor that sells a reproduction? Also, the hood is cracked in the area where the hood hinges attach. I want to repair the cracks but...

    Under spoiler decal placement

Does anyone know if the right hand and left hand decals under the spoiler on a T/A should stick out past the end of the spoiler? I have the sheet that calls out decal placement, but all it says is "Tape to follow continuation of peak line". Any help is appreciated - pictures would be helpful...

    T/A decal location on spoiler

I am sure this question has been asked before, but does anyone have info on the location of the "Challenger T/A" decal on the rear spoiler? I have engineering drawings I downloaded from the internet, but they are so small I can't read the dimensions or text. Thank you for your time and any help...

    Chrome voltage regulator

My T/A had a chrome voltage regulator on it when I purchased it. Was this original equipment on some of the Challengers or has someone changed it out? You can see it does not have a part # on it, but I have seen some pictures on the Internet where the voltage regulator had a sticker on the...

    Painted Heater Box

The front side of the heater box in my 70 Challenger T/A is painted semi gloss black. Is this typical or .. perhaps the previous owner painted it for some reason? I am ready to put the box back together after rebuild, but wanted to clarify.

340 engine, valve cover, air cleaner cover paint

I am getting ready to paint the 340 6 pack engine out of my Dodge Challenger T/A. I am restoring the car back to original. The valve covers and air cleaner lid are different shades of orange. Also, the valve covers are more "orange" than the Hemi Orange paint typically used on the engine...

    Parking Brake Cables

Does anyone know a source for factory correct parking brake cables for my 1970 Challenger T/A? Ordered the Right Stuff kit (RSBCE04), but the cable jacketing on the left side cable is not OEM correct. Also had an extra cable in it. Contact Right Stuff, and they said that's the way their...

    70 Challenger Glass

Did all 1970 Challengers have date coded glass? I need to replace my windshield, but unfortunately, didn't see if it was date coded. I looked at the side glass, and didn't see any date coding. Did the windshield have a date code, and if so, how might I determine what it was?
