    What's it worth?

First Hi and welcome to the site A lot of people like to ask What is it worth ? The answer is... whatever you are willing to pay and what the owner will sell for. I understand why people ask... they want to know … is it a good deal or am I getting ripped off. You have no pictures and...

First Welcome to the site and Nice car I had 3.23 in my Cuda for a few years and it is a good all around gear but, last year I went to 3.55 and I like it a little better. Just a little more acceleration. Just for a little info I have a stroked 440 ( 493 ) and my RPM on the freeway at 70 MPH...

Isky Solid Bushing Roller Lifters Opinions

Comp Cams XE262H or XE 268H

First off, I think Chryco is one of the most knowledgeable people on here and I have used his advise a few times. I also have used Lunati Cams many times but it was in one of those other company's engines as I was oval track racing, which I did for about 30 years and I loved Lunati Cams and...

Comp Cams XE262H or XE 268H

I just wanted to throw in my 2 cents ... First I sure some, but maybe not all, know that Comp and Lunati are the same company, and have been for a while, and both are owned by Edelbrock, LLC who in turn is owned by Industrial Opportunity Partners who also own Crane , Fast, and others The...

    Correct Backing Plates

I am not a break expert but I do know that the standard breaks used on 8 3/4 rear end was a 10" break and not the 11" Even with power front disk breaks 10" was used on the rear no mater which rear end you had. I believe that the 11" was an option back in the day and would have been 11" by 2 1/2...

    Rear end gaskets

Thank you for the response. When I took it apart it had foam between the backing plate and the housing so I assumed it was needed there but if it only needs the steel one then that's what I will do. Again thank you for the info

Greetings all It has been a long time since my last post ( I was very sick and lost all interest in everything but now I'm way better and back to working on my car ) My problem is when I took my rear end apart it had 2 foam gaskets and 1 steel gasket on each side. Lokar throttle cables

I like it just fine and, it works good, after, I "tuned" it. Like they say ...some tuning and fabrication may be required and, it looks good too.
