    Piston impressions

I'm cleaning out my cylinders from a leaking valley pan and see .04 stamped on the pistons but measuring with one of those cheapo digital calipers from the top not a dial indicator down the bore I get 4.342. Does that sound about right ?

    Gauge limiter...

Just a tip if your gauges are acting up. I reconnected the temp gauge on a rally dash and it would intermittently swing all the way up and down. Explains why there was an gauge installed under the dash. Since I had the radio out to re-wire the alt. past the bulkhead I threw one of the RT...

    A01 reprieve

I've been hoping to get the ignition and switch pnl lights to work off the timer relay. I replaced the one that was missing and have power to the lights but it won't time out unless I unplug the 'left switch' connector. At the same time that provides the power to energize it whether the door is...

    Oil cap

Hi All, Looking for an oil fill cap that closes parallel to the 70 valve covers. The 'ears' have to be perpendicular to the handle but every one I found point in the same direction even the Mopar ones. Maybe the hole in the valve cover is clocked wrong, AMD. This pic is one sold thru a GM...

    Timing Vacuum...

Currently, my initial timing at 16 with the vacuum adv plugged but it will jump about 8 deg or so when I hook it back up to manifold vac and will run a little rough. I turned the advance in 1 turn and it will only jump about 4 now and thrs no change in idling quality that I lower to 950. All in...

    Big block intake gasket...

Any thoughts on whether to use gaskets or not on the valley pan of a 440 ? I found mine currently doesn't but looks it would've been a good idea....

    lockout linkage

Thought I had a stuck ignition switch for the second time but before I took apart the column again I noticed nothing attached to the lockout lever... Seems like it's not that uncommon...???

    Pro forged 'Tall' ball joints

Automotive Aftermarket Catalog - MyCarParts Anybody with any experience with these ball joints. GM guys seem to love them on Summitracing but the only one Mopar guy didn't have the chance to try them

    BF Goodrich browning

I was able to file a claim w/BFG and they took 40% off a new pair of T/A's because of the browning that effects the lettering.... I used everything from brake cleaner to sand paper to Mr Clean pads and they would a vanilla-ish white but that's about it...then they just get darker from there.

    70 Heater hose bracket...

I'm looking to confirm the correct heater hose bracket that attaches to the inner fender. The one that is there broke but not sure it was ever robust enough for that purpose. The 1st pic shows what's there and the 2nd pic is what some sites call the correct part, others list it as a wiring strap

    440 Heavy Duty Fan Clutch

For anyone considering upgrading their fan clutch the Hayden 2947 is one to consider. Being slightly taller than the Jag 2765 I wasn't sure what to expect when replacing a Champion aluminum radiator with a 3 row brass OER unit. Turns out there's more clearance than I would've thought... almost 1...
