    gauge cluster options

Here are the photos. The first is the gauge cluster bolted in where the factory ones were. The next show how the bezel fits over them by lining up the grove along the face. I did something dumb and trimmed the top of my bezel as a solution and that allowed the bezel to fit against the gauges...

    gauge cluster options

Sir. I’m trying to install the Dakota Digital VHX gauges in my non Rallye 74 Challenger. I’m having figment issues with the factory gauge cluster bezel fitting over the new gauges. Do you have any suggestions on how you got the bezel to fit over the gauges and to line up with the bezel to left...

    Vapor Lock?

Rogue, that is great info thank you. I was looking at the Aeromotive but I think you changed my mind. My big issue is the previous owner took all the original equipment out. So I would literally be starting from scratch. One question, how did you run your vent line?

    Vapor Lock?

I agree. At this point I think I should just eliminate all the things I know are wrong in one shot. I’m going to plan on replacing the tank with a baffled one and install a submersible pump. That way the venting is fixed and the pump is put in the right place. I’m going to remove the return...

    Vapor Lock?

Augusta, I do have a filter on the return line as well. I seem to have a bit of a venting problem in the tank as well. The four tubes for the emission were disconnected and soldered closed. I drilled two small holes in my Stant fuel cap to help with pressure. If I don’t watch it I will get a...

    Vapor Lock?

I do have a return line. I’m going to crawl under and see if I can find a better mounting location.

Thanks for the info. I’m going to start on it today.

    Vapor Lock?

Steve340 thanks for the response. I’ll definitely look into putting a heat barrier over my lines, pump and filter. I know DEI and Heatshield have products for this. I’ll move the pump and filter further back as well and see what happens. The gauge seems to be working it does fluctuate with the...

    Vapor Lock?

Sorry for the long post, I was hoping someone out there can point me in the right direction. I have poked around on the forum in search of answers and I’m coming up a bit short. The wife and I took my 74 Challenger for a drive two weeks ago before it gets too hot here in AZ. We drove for 80+...

    1974 Challenger

Hello everyone. I have poked around this forum for a little while and felt now is a good time to introduce myself. I recently purchased a 74 Challenger that has been fully restored for the most part. I know there is a lot to be said for building a project over buying someone else’s. I currently...
