    Six Pack contradiction.

Finally fitted my six pack to my 440. A while ago I downloaded information on tuning them (can't remember where from). One author says - ",.....I like a six pack to come in quick,....you'll have to buy 2 spring kits, replace with the "white" springs if you want a quick responding set-up,....if...

    Paint problem

I am dealing with spots that have appeared in my paintwork on some places eg. It is on the side of the left front fender but not on top. Paint is cellulose. The pic is after rubbing down with 120 grit. Are these micro blisters? What do you think caused this. Can I paint over now or do I need to...

    Door closing rattle

70 Challenger. I THINK I have everything assembled correctly but there is a rattle when I close them. I have new cats whiskers and the top adjustable dampers against the glass are in place. Even if I hold the glass whilst closing it still does it. Could someone please suggest what to look at to...

    Which way to go?

I have a never rebuilt, low compression 1976 440 in my 70 Challenger. It runs very well but I want to do justice to the car and rebuild it with at least the HP it should have had in 1970. I don't do burnouts, race or drag. I do very few street miles but I want some real power when I do floor it...

    Cannot solve hard pedal issue

I have a 1970 Dodge Challenger in UK. It has aftermarket boosted 4 wheel disc brake kit – about 4 years old but rarely used. It stops well under light braking (feels boosted) but pedal goes hard about halfway down under heavy braking (almost as if unboosted) and it wouldn't stop quickly in an...

    Ballast resistor voltage

440 takes a while to start from cold. Fine when hot. Ballast resistor voltage to coil is cranking 9v, running 6v. Is this right? I thought it was 12v and 9v.

    Alternator warning light wiring

My 70 440 Challenger does not have an "ignition warning light" aka "battery light" aka "alternator light" but I would like to add an LED to the dash. I have 3 wire alternator - battery, field + and field - with a voltage regulator. Can anybody help with a wiring diagram to achieve this with an LED?

    Trunk/deck lid question

1970 Challenger. There are four sets of holes/cutouts towards the inner rear edge of my trunk lid. I have found some pics of two (black) plates bolted in these positions. What are they for please?

    Bolt identification

I'm sure it will become obvious as my 70 Challenger rebuild progresses but for now I cannot figure what these bolts are for. I have 4, they are 3" long, 5/8" dia. with castellated nuts. For peace of mind what are they for please.

    What are these from?

Pretty certain these two "wrinkled washers with a definite flat spot are from the front suspension somewhere - but where? They are identical, so meant to be this way

    Hello from UK

I imported a 1970 needing complete restoration from Ca this summer. Work progressing well and so impressed with the basic condition. Only a couple of rust holes around windshield and drivers floor - trunk floor is shot. I am used to rusty cars here and the car is completely in pieces and only 4...
