It’s a scam. Called him out and he blocked me. Already reported it to his local police department. It’s for sale on a dealer site for 55k

Tons of scam artist out there, I found a M Code ( 440 ) Dart on a website called Kloompy.com. The woman was asking $18,200. The ad said the car was in a town 10 minutes from my house. Funny thing is I recognized the car. So I sent a reply to the ad. Couple days later I get a reply that the woman was now in Greensburg IN. in a hospital for surgery and she was staying with her daughter and she said she contracted a shipper who now has the car all wrapped up ready to ship and if I would send her all my info she would have it shipped in a couple of days. I replied that I was going to be in Cincinnati later this week for business and where she was it was only a 50 mile drive and I would like the address and phone number of the shipper as I would like to stop buy and see the car before making a decision. Needless to say I haven't heard back. This M Code Dart was actually for sale on ForAbodiesonly site for $65,000 and I know the guy that was selling it. He sold the car to a guy in Florida over a year ago. The scammer actually copied his ad word for word except for the price and all the pictures. You have to be carful, like everyone says if it sounds to good to be true it's probably a scam.

I have one simple rule. If I can't inspect the car and check the title, I don't consider it.

Needless to say, I don't get involved in internet sales from across the country. I've had friends buy cars that were totally misrepresented.

jeryst, you are absolutely correct in your statement. I would never buy a car from across country without being able to see it in person. I live in the east and I traveled to Northern Nebraska to look at my current car. As it turned out it was everything the ad said it was.
