I am putting my 340 casting number 2780930-340-6 on here to see if there is any interest. The casting date as seen in the pic included is 7-10-69 which I understand to be October 7, 1969 hence a 1970 production motor.

I purchased this engine from a very good friend after he had it built for $10K+, put it in his 73 Cuda, broke it in and then ran it a few times down the quarter mile with a best time of 11.5 seconds. He drove the car sparingly to shows that summer then pulled it at the end of the summer with about 500 miles on it. (He built a $20K+ 700 HP 440 for the following year so he could run sub 11 seconds). I purchased the engine for my 1974 Triple Black Rallye Challenger build. I have decided to restomod my car so would hope that this goes to a more traditional style build.
The engine Dynoed at around 425 HP just after it was built. It has TA 'U' Heads, with a 340 LD6B Edelbrock six pack intake. It also has correct 1970 TA Carbs that are numbered as 340 4 speed carbs. 4790, 4791, 4792 (I believe those are the correct numbers). It comes as you see it with complete with March Aluminum Pulleys, the Mopar Performance valve covers etc. It was run with an electric fuel pump. It also has a MSD Billet distributor. Also have ceramic coated headers and powdercoated dual exhaust with X pipe and Magnaflow mufflers for extra cost if interested.
I am asking $8500 for the complete engine from pan to air cleaner. We can discuss delivery. I have a friend going to Carlisle in July so he could bring it to you there if that would help. Engine is in Toronto, Canada about 1.5 hours from Niagara Falls, NY. PM me if interested. Thanks Todd

Forgot to note that carbs are just sitting on top of intake for pics as I had them off for moving the motor.
