Hey all ,
Picked up this 70 challenger matching numbers 383 car.
Plain Jane non RT bucket seat column shiftbbeauty.
Have to try and start her up, been sitting a couple years.
has 53k documented miles.
Took the carb off as it was flooding over.
Best place to get a kit?

Cool car! you don't see that color combination too often - looks great.
What carburetor is it that you need a kit for - Carter?
Quadrajetparts.com is a great place to get parts.

Cool color combo
Interior looks great
Really like the “sleeper” look with a big block!
Carb looks like it was running rich?
As EV2 noted; was the 2nd mixture screw removed or missing?

No it’s not missing I took it out. to clean it up a little bit.
I got it to run but it had a massive bog couldn’t drive it.
So I bought a rebuild kit at the local parts place and took the carburetor apart and I noticed a huge crack on the corner.
I guess I need a new base.

Now what???
Saw a few rebuilt ones for $300 and up.
J8 4732
Now I know what all that brown crap was in that corner someone tried to stop the vacuum leak

I picked the correct carb all nicely done up and ready to install for my 70 A66 vert.
The same vendor had a beautiful 4732 for sale in June. Not sure he still has it? If you are interested, it was in the $400 range, similar to what I paid.

This vendor has some restored carbs for BB Mopars;
Anyone need a nice AVS 4732S for a 70 383 Mopar? (automatic w AC)
