Good luck with your sale. I don't think you will have any trouble finding a buyer. Posting up some under body pics might also help.

It’s interesting to me that you could get a JH23H & JS23H.
I was just thinking the same thing, I wonder what the differences are? I am thinking the R/T hood would come with the 340 like the 1970 A66 package and this car has the ralley dash was it optioned or std? The car looks amazing and the price is more then reasonable I don't think it will take long to find a buyer.

One correction from the previous comments. It does have the factory R/T hood but was not built with the ralley dash (no factory tach). Thanks for the positive comments!!! Hoping to find it a good home!!!

Here are some pictures of the underside as requested. Trunk floor, rear wheel wells and truck extensions were replaced with new sheet metal. The frame rails,
front and rear are original and solid along with the floor pan.

I believe the J54 RT hood on the tag would have to have been ordered on a JH car in 71. The 70 A66 Challengers got the RT hood standard, but the rallye dash was not, but could be ordered as an option. The rallye dash would have been standard on JS cars both years.
It does seem odd that the 340 Challengers were available in JH and JS renditions in 1971! The J54 hood code was not listed on the 70 A66 cars because the hood was standard and was not considered an option.

A66 cars (1970) were a package. They received what was in the package. RT is also a package receiving what was in the package. The JH23H1 cars were an engine option which included the suspension and cooling system to support the engine choice as manditory options. That is it. They looked and were no different than a 318 car.

I am so used to 1970 stuff that when I see the wood grain facia I think ralley cluster because the 1970 cars have a black facia with std cluster. Can't believe it is not sold must be because it is Christmas not a good time to sell cars. If I was the new owner about the only things I would do is power disc swap, 3 speed wipers (not that you'd drive it in the rain) and sure grip for the rear axle this car is beautiful.
