I don't drive in the rain but thought I should be prepared. Recently replaced the wiper motor ballast on my 1974 Challenger. Now the wiper motor has reset itself in the off position but both wipers are far too down. (Unless I force the wipers up three inches or so especially on the driver's side the hood won't close properly). I'm sure it's simple and I feel a little lame but I can't figure out how to remove the wiper arms to correctly place them near the chrome trim. I've Googled & You Tubed but found no videos or drawings that are straight forward etc. Also read conflicted messages that the 1970 thru 1972 wiper arms are different insofar as removal??? Apparently on the 73 & 74 there's a clip that is supposed to be "pried down". Is that the clip attached to a spring that's about an inch long? If so, how do I get in there - I can't barely get a finger behind the hinge that mounts on the nipple. Also, what about the passenger side? Obviously I don't want to assert force and break something!! If anybody has a clear picture or simple step by step instructions I would be greatly appreciative!

Squeeze the table underneath. Then work off.
Some 71's -72 up has clip that slide off underneath. Someone may clarify and show them. I might be thinking of something else.

Yes. The clips has to be moved toward the outside. Might be able use a small pick. The fingers were the tool back in the day, when they were newer. I was thinking they where all the same. But I do remember some difference somehow.
