340 Intake Bolt Question

Hey guys,

Quick Question. On a 340 does the drivers side front intake bolt need sealant? The one closest to the radiator. Does coolant or oil go up that far? Thanks

The outermost or the 4 corner bolts are in the water jacket on small blocks. Sealant is not required on the intake bolts, but if you want to it won't hurt anything.
There is no oil in that area, the oil goes up through the block to the head and comes out in the rocker pedestal mount second from the front on the drivers side, second from the rear on the passenger side.
