Yikes! I know it should be saved but I’m having a hard time finding a good place to start for this one...

As e-prices continue to rise, more and more marginal cars are coming to market!
I think the owners realize the cost of restoring a car in that condition and decide to let it go!

It must have sat in a bad spot for many years
The jack is still sitting in the holder while the rest of the rusts away all around it!

Still hope someone comes in to save it.

Even though it's a low number car and with all the sheet metal now available , I agree it's very hard to know where to start, and wether it would be worth it in the end. Not very much to save with this one.

I, personally wouldn't turn my back to this particular car, but not at this price.
After carefully removing and labeling all the parts,
i would put the body on a datum table and study it for a while. Long while! and then....

The guy himself says " it needs all the sheetmetal and more" so by the time the car is restored it will only be a numbers matching drivetrain "
So does documentation trump originality ?

I would restore it slowly so I don't keep track of the money the 440 4bbl cars are even rarer then the 440-6 cars and I like that colour with the matching trim it looks awesome when new wonder if it has a split fold bench seat with that column shifter?

This rusty pos would just be in its own way on an assembly jig.

The reference points are probably gone.

open wallet and hope the wife doesnt find out. Your going to spend LOTS of money.

I am a bachelor!, lol
Won't be buying it anyway!
I looked at the Dynacorn site, they have some pre assembled sections that looked nice, in the photos at least, but who makes their sheetmetal?
They have the restorers choice logo.

At least the owner didn't pull it apart and start messing around with it, wouldn't have any chance of selling it if half of it was in boxes.

I agree, that's when the car changes its identity and becomes a "heap"
(Hey Matt I hope you don't mind me using your phrase, it's so appropriate! )
