Is the blower motor painted as seen from the engine compartment, or natural finish?

If painted black, is it semigloss?

Thanks much

Thanks Grady,

Does the complete motor have to be rebuilt to do the plating?

If so, please recommend source?

The motor would have to be completely disassembled in order for the case to be plated. At that time, it would only make sense to rebuild it while it is apart if you don't know the condition of the internals.

I had mine done about 4 years ago by Passion4Mopars. I know people have mixed reviews about this company - I have never had any issues in the many years I have done business with them. If I were to do it today, I would absolutely go with Bill Meerholz Bill Meerholz Enterprises - NOS Mopar, Restored Original and Quality Used Mopar and Chrysler Parts Top quality for sure...

Good to know.

If mine is running properly, any suggestions to gently clean up the body? Evaporust? If it cleans up decent, then maybe a clear coat for now until the day it needs a rebuild? Thanks

x2 for Bill Meerholz, as he restored my wiper motor and links. I am happy with his work, felt he was reasonable and work was done within the time he told me. Also communication was good, did not have to chase him.
Good luck with what you decide.
