71 charger trany kickdown

Helping a friend with this. He has a 1971 charger se originally with a 400 CI and automatic. This has been a 440 conversion for some time and the linkage does not look right.
See the picture for reference.
My questions:
-is the throttle linkage different for a 440 vs 400 since it is a taller block.
-is the kickdown lever from the trany longer for a taller block.

The linkage seems to sit down too low in the picture.

Any advise would be appreciated and photos of similar would be great reference. I have the SM and understand the generic picture for all one piece linkage set up.

Yes, there is a different bracket for a 440. I believe the slotted rod works with the right bracket. No positive on the lower rod though. I may have the top slotted and the bracket if ur gonn a change them. Kim

do 440 have a two piece rod setup - mine (which probably came of the old 383 setup) is a one piece rod setup - it may be right or wrong - who knows
