I've found plenty of references that list 727 part numbers but for some reason the part number i have is never listed. Can anyone ID this part number. If i believe the date code indicates Friday, June 28, 1985 and the PK means the kokomo plant. thanks!

Rogue, I think I have one Kokomo assembly chart that show everything in that trans. Ill look for it later on and report back. I have a lot in the 84 to 87 era.

Howdy. By chance is your "6" actually an "8"? 4348763 comes back as a valve body assembly, not a complete trans. 4348783 comes back as a small block 727, Low stall, non-lock up for a 318 in a pickup truck - probably '86.

This is the closest I found - FWIW.

pretty sure the 6 is correct... possible after looking more the last digit is an 8, not a 3... so 4348768, which i've found some reference to as a non-lock from a 318? So probably what MarkLevi says... though if i read and decode the date stamp correctly it would be from june 28, 1985 so not sure if that was early model 86 or late 85. here's the pic of the number

That's certainly a tough one to read - have to agree last digit is 8. Look at the curvature and width compared to the 3s in the pic - becomes somewhat apparent, then. 3s would have been better with the flat top just for this reason....but they didn't do that so... oh well

Mark, I agree with you. Lots of times they seem to do that and it is confusing for sure.
Rogue, if and when you strip it, let us know how much in it is still original!
