I just installed the correct thermoquad 6319S carb on my 73 Challenger 340 AT with a stock intake manifold. There is no choke assembly on my car presently so I searched for the part number for the choke assembly on the E-Bodies.org on line parts catalog and came up with part number 3698355 for the 6319S carb.
When I search for part number 3698355 it says that is for "440 400 360 4BBL" and it says it's NOT compatible with my car.
Can anyone tell me the correct choke assembly part number?

I bought this on Ebay a while ago for mine 73 Cuda and this was how it was listed. It looks identical to the old one with the wire lead on it.

Rich,
I just tried to look up "New Carter Choke Stat RT859 170-859" (In various combinations) both on ebay & out on the web with no luck. I did find one site that converted your number to a Walker number 102-1003 but when I looked that one up it says it is not compatible with my car.
Do you happen to have the ebay auction number? Maybe the seller has more of them.
Thanks
Dave

The Ebay number is no longer available but this was in the package when I got it. I can’t imagine what is different but sometimes numbers get superseded

Thanks Rich,
I'll try the phone number next week and see what they can tell me.
It was weird that I couldn't get any hits with the part description / part number.

Thanks for the pic. I think the only difference in these choke assemblies is probably the length and maybe the bends in the rod.
I just need to find out the correct part number for the 340 application.

That is the same part number I came up with but when I search for it the sites only mention big block engines & say it is Not compatible with my 340. That is why I am confused.
I'm just trying to be sure I have the correct part before I spend about $50 only to find out I bought the wrong part.

So the parts book show 3698355 fitting ALL Thermoquad setups no matter if it's 340/400/440. I'm a little surprised-I would think there would be different rod styles and lengths.

Do you have a part number for the part the choke plugs into?
The part number I found in the catalog is 3656730 (the same one bennydodge posted).
I just looked at the choke control in the car and it says: 48750 Under that is: Choke Cont and Under that is: BAT

My numbers came from the porcelain, not the metal. I will get the numbers off the metal tomorrow.

Rich, I called Northwestern Auto on Monday & they are looking into the part and will call me back. I am still waiting for that call back so I have now gone elsewhere.
Rich / Benny, Thanks for all your help. I have a choke 3698355 ordered up & will have it shortly.
