Alternator wire question

Hello, I'm back. One more minor detail. I installed the new engine wire harness. There are three wires to the alternator. Two wires with spade connectors, one blue with a tracer and the other is green. On the alternator both of these terminals have the same stamp or marking. Does it matter which terminal these two wire connect to? I attached the shorter one to the inside terminal. Am I good to go? It's been 30 years since I have done any of this stuff. Thanks to everyone that has help me with this project.

the dgn and dbl* (with trace) both connect to field terminals on the alternator... dunno which orientation is factory correct but they have the same functionality

Yes it doesn’t matter which terminal they go on the field
