Judging by the other cars on the lot, late 70s, it’s probably the early 80s. The Challenger probably not even 10 years old.

I know it’s just a picture but it certainly doesn’t look more than 10 years old. Hell, my winter daily driver is a 22 year old Chrysler!

There are NO "big bumper" cars anywhere in the photo. Big bumpers arrived in 1974 so I'd say this is still early 70's maybe even as early as '74 considering it is at a Plymouth dealership and in their USED CAR LOT. No later than '75. Later than that, you'd see big bumpers....UGLY big bumpers.

I would think that dealers at the time kept cars that were more then 5 years old; the older cars were farmed out to smaller car lot dealers. That is a 72 Torino next to the Challenger. Not that it means anything, but I would guess at mid to late 70's at most? Anybodies guess.
No real "ugly" bumper cars can be seen.
Any guesses on the car to the left of the Challenger. Kind of looks like a Mercury Marauder?

The first clue on the "mystery car" is it is a fastback. Second, it has the cheaper chrome grab door handles. Third, is has a chrome side mirror (not the typical bullet mirrors found on sportier cars). Fourth, there doesn't appear to be a quarter window on the A-pillar and the door B-pillar has a rather large rear passenger side window. Lastly, the top of the door roof window is parallel to the door sill window - so no curve to the top of the door/roof window lines.

Look behind the Torino and I think I see a big bumper. I don’t know what year that Ford is anyways.

I'm not a bettin' man... but I'll bet that is a '68-'69 Chevelle/ElCamino behind the Torino. They of course have big bumpers but not the 5mph ugly big bumpers in that year.

My best guess on the mystery car, which it is not, is a 72-73 Dodge Colt GT. It has the same small rectangular block low on the C-pillar. Similar doors/windows. But the GT is the only one with a fastback line and it has a different round emblem on the C-pillar. So far, no definite identification of the mystery car.

Great shot. I don't know my later Challengers that well but what color is that vinyl top? Also trying to make out the RWL tires. They are probably belted. Definitely not original.
